Fish Scales!

Jarrod Lim - Koi Lounge Chair; Property

I've been seeing fish scale patterns popping up everywhere lately, and I'm loving it.  That chair above is amazing.  Here's another fun shot.  Check out those shadows!  More fish scale items below...

Sourcing: Plantation

Plantation is a GREAT source for lighting, furniture, and loads of other luxe decorative touches (fur pillows and throws, hide rugs, etc).  Materials wise, there's lots of nice metal work, carved wood, glass, and beautiful inlay details on their decorative boxes.  Lots of nicely crafted stuff here.

Top row, L - R: Barcelona Chandelier (wooden beads, cerused white oak, oil rubbed bronze); Victor Iron Side Table (iron base with gold leaf finish, glass top with gold leaf edge); Hues Clear Bottle Vases #1 (hand blown glass, other colors available).
Bottom Row, L - R: Redmond Brass Pendant (antique brass finish); Bongo Wood Table (teak and sheesham); Dominic Sconce - Antique Brass (antique brass, mirrored glass).

Sourcing: CB2 Standouts

Dylan Dining Table:  I love the simple materials used to create this dining table (shesham wood planks, powdercoated, sandblasted iron) and the graphic look of the base.  A nice departure from a standard vertical leg, but still simple and easy on the eye.

After the jump, a roundup of more furniture, fixtures and accessories that stood out to me while flipping through the latest CB2 catalog.  All photos from www.CB2.com.

Sourcing: seating from Tucker Robbins

Tucker Robbins sources furniture and products made by craftsmen around the world.  The catalog definitely has a very global feel.  For me, some of the most standout pieces were stool seating and side tables.  Some of my favorites are shown above.  Images from www.tuckerrobbins.com

1. Dutch chair    2. Rattan basket    3. Wire pouf    4. Hollow cube
5. Porcelain zig zag    6. Hollow zig zag      7. Porcelain mortar

Sourcing: Conran brindley side table

Conran Brindley side table, for Marks & Spencer. Oak frame with leather strap detail.  I can't tell if the boxes can be moved left/right in relation to one another or if they are fixed into that configuration.  I hope they can move, I love when furniture can be customized to some degree by its user.
